My Bio

About Sylvia:

was born and raised in France where I studied business at Dame Marie Les Lys School. I now am a proud citizen of both France and the United States, and a resident of Oregon since 1994 when my husband, Randy, and I returned to Portland and bought our first house.

The learning experience of being first time home buyers changed the course of our lives. For the next ten years, we continued to invest in real estate; buying a house each year, while I maintained my career in Human Resources as a negotiation and recruitment specialist with companies such as Chart House and Pinkerton Security. Eventually, I decided to merge my passions for real estate and training. Then with my real estate license in hand, applied my organization and negotiation skills to the business, rapidly becoming a top producer. I also taught classes to first-time buyers and investors.

In early 2008, I started working with some of the major employers in the Portland area, helping them with relocation of their new hire employees. I love relocation because it allows me to develop relationships with people along with the pleasure of welcoming them to the city. I appeared on the HGTV show, Good Buy Bad Buy, in 2009; an experience that entailed a lot of work, tons of fun and the creation of many good memories. Most recently I was selected as a Portland Five Star Real Estate Agent for 2012, an honor bestowed on fewer than 7% of the real estate agents in the Portland area based on feedback from clients, peers and industry experts.

Currently, I am a Real Estate Broker and top producer with Windermere Community Realty. I still invest in real estate and like to share my knowledge with others. I work mostly by referral and teach by request only. I give a lot of my free time to various volunteer and professional organizations and donate a portion of my commission to the local Big Brothers/Big Sisters organization. I’m honored to have been chosen as Big Sister of the Year in 2008.

Referrals from past clients have helped my business grow steadily over the years. Along the way I also have mentored some of my first-time buyers to become investors themselves, creating a strong support and networking system that is still in place today.

My love for the real estate business remains strong….
