On Buying a New Home!

Portland is a great city for first-time home buyers. We offer great neighborhood communities, excellent transportation systems, and effective green-energy options. Buying a first home is a special process that I am grateful to be a part of. I love the bond that is created with my clients and the teamwork that is cultivated as we move through the purchasing process together. The following are steps that I use to enable ease and success with first home purchases.

• Qualifying: I work with a network of lending institutions that assist my clients with financial pre qualification.
• Interview: After the financial qualification step is complete, I meet with the clients and assess purchasing needs and desires for their first home. “The Wish List.”
• Education: Goal options and marketing analysis are reviewed, previews of open houses take place, and third party references are introduced such as inspectors.
• Purchasing: I coordinate with lenders, appraisers, inspectors, and title companies to ensure continuity with the purchasing process. I educate my clients on offer, counter offer, and purchasing contracts, options for negotiation, and a final profile review.
• Support: I value the relationship that is created with my clients and offer service resources for many years to come. I provide frequent updates and reports specific to the purchase area of the home. Most importantly, I am there for my clients and am available for questions, brain-storming sessions, and support. My favorite experience as a realtor is not only watching my client’s excitement when they realize the offer on their first home has been accepted, but being there for them just as strong after the sale.
